• Vacancy: Embedded Hardware Validation Engineer

    Vacancy – ’s-Hertogenbosch – Fulltime (32 – 40 hours per week) – Electronic Heating Controls

  • Your challenge as Embedded Hardware Engineer

Due to growth, we are searching for you! You will be responsible for testing and analysing prototypes, products and systems (incl. analytical reports). You perform and optimize design reviews, component validation, EMC-measurements and endurance tests. Due to the desire to continually optimize and innovate you deliver an important contribution to our internal product development. You are in close contact with colleagues and customers worldwide.

    Tasks and responsibilities

    - Convert specifications and norms into test plans used for verification and validation

    - Execute, optimize (and automate where necessary) these test plans and procedures

    - Control and enforce quality, robustness and safety of our products and writing and testing development documentation

    - Hardware Support for new development and the improvement of current designs and products

In summary, this means that you must disprove whether the product functions properly, is safe and reliable. If improvements can or must be made, you will provide them.

Because we work embedded, you will actually see a tangible product. We have standard controls that we tailor for our customers via configuration and parameters (projects between 2 months and 1 year), but also totally customized products (projects between 2 and 3 years). The average product lifetime is more than 15 years and during this period we provide support, therefore you will be able to follow your own projects.

    Your Engineering colleagues

Our design department consists of 3 specialties who each have their own teams:

    - Customer Software/Application

    - Core Software Development

    - Hardware Design and Validation

To keep everything organized, these teams are managed by our Project Management team.

    Offered

You are going to work in a department with 18 engineers (of which 5 hardware engineers) who are divided into small teams (2 – 4 engineers). Within a positive atmosphere and with the required responsibility you will work on a tangible, working product. You have direct influence on the result. Our team is involved, motivated and gets the opportunity to learn and take initiative, so we can expand our knowledge, build experience and simultaneously contribute to smart, efficient and sustainable solutions. We believe that our employees are the most important building blocks of our company.

Our company in ’s-Hertogenbosch is relatively small (34 employees), but we are part of a large, international company. For us this is an ideal combination. You will have a lot of contact with colleagues and customers worldwide.

Your future? Of course, this depends on your qualities and interests. For example, a promotion to Team leader is certainly possible.

Practical: Salary is based on education and working experience. Some examples of our benefits: a bonus payment (depending on the company results) and permanent employment.

Why do want to work with us?

    - Working embedded delivers a concrete end product. You are not just a small part of a big, abstract project.

    - We are involved: most of our colleagues go for a lunchtime walk, on Fridays we order pizza for lunch and we regularly meet for game nights (board - and online games)

    - Flexible working conditions

    - Career opportunities

    - A small company within a large, international company (best of both worlds)

    The ideal Embedded Hardware Engineer

Most importantly: you have an electronical background (e.g. bachelor or master degree e.g. Embedded Electronics Engineering) and therefore are familiar with hardware validation, emc tests and endurance tests

    Your skills

It is important that you can validate accurately, work in a process-oriented manner and that you are good at exploring products completely. You think along with the customer, like to work together and can work in a structured way. Furthermore, you are creative (solution-oriented) and innovative. You are resourceful, eager to learn and capable of working on several projects at the same time.
